Poor governance does the opposite: it turns ambiguous events into repeated manual interventions, slows finality, and creates inconsistent precedents that are hard to unwind.

For practitioners, the main governance question is whether settlement authority is explicit, documented, and reviewable. If the answer is unclear, the process is already fragile, even when day-to-day outcomes appear smooth.
