Jumio is an identity verification and identity intelligence company that helps online businesses know and trust their customers. Banks, payment providers, gaming operators, lenders and crypto platforms use it to verify new users with an ID document and a selfie, catch deepfakes and spoofing, and keep assessing risk after onboarding.
Everything runs on the Jumio Platform, so the evidence gathered when a customer first signs up keeps working for the business on every later visit.

What Jumio Does
Online businesses have to decide quickly whether a new or returning user is a real person and who they claim to be, while fraudsters use deepfakes and other spoofing to get through. Jumio’s approach is to treat identity as something assessed across the whole customer lifecycle rather than in a single check at sign-up. Workflows can be set to add friction only for higher-risk individuals, so legitimate users pass with fewer steps. The platform’s models are trained on billions of transactions.
Products
Identity Verification
Identity Verification confirms that a new user is a real person holding a genuine ID. The user scans a document and takes a selfie, and Jumio checks the document, matches the face and runs liveness detection to stop deepfakes and spoofing. It supports more than 5,000 global ID types, and accepts digital IDs from more than 60 countries and territories through a single integration.
Biometrics And Selfie.DONE
Biometric authentication lets a business re-confirm a user’s identity with their face. selfie.DONE applies this to returning users: they take a selfie, Jumio runs liveness detection, then matches the face to an earlier verification record instead of asking for another document scan. In EMEA, up to 60 percent of returning users reportedly continued without scanning an identity document.
Risk Signals, AML Screening And Jumio Watch
Risk Signals gives fraud teams extra assurance without slowing down legitimate users. Many signals are combined into a single risk score tuned to each business, and Cross-Transaction Risk looks for patterns that link separate transactions. AML Screening checks customers against anti-money laundering requirements during onboarding, and Jumio Watch keeps analysing risk signals after the first verification so emerging fraud patterns surface over time.
How It Works
Businesses choose how much of the user journey they build themselves. Developers can use APIs and SDKs to customise and host the journey, or start with Jumio’s hosted web client without building an interface. No-code orchestration ties checks to hundreds of global data sources, so extra steps apply only when risk is higher.
Jumio Identity Graph. A dataset of tens of millions of known identities that cross-checks names, emails and phone numbers against authoritative sources such as government agencies and utilities.
The Identity Graph also holds earlier verification records, which is what lets selfie.DONE recognise a returning user without a new document.
