Keep Aware is a browser security company, now part of Jamf, that protects employees as they work in web, SaaS and AI applications. It is aimed at security teams who need to see and control what happens inside the browser, where much daily work and many attacks now take place, without forcing staff onto a new browser.
It runs as a lightweight extension in the browsers people already use, so protection follows the user rather than the network.

What Keep Aware Does
Phishing pages, credential theft, risky extensions and data leaving through uploads or AI chat windows all happen in the browser, often out of sight of network and endpoint tools. Keep Aware watches every page visit, extension event and data transfer across the browsers in use, and applies policy and detections at the point of click, before a user completes a risky action.
Because the browser is where the user, the data and the application meet, a single control point there can investigate risky activity, keep sensitive data from leaving and cover ChromeOS devices alongside Windows and macOS laptops.
Products
Enterprise Browser Security
This is the main module, covering secure browsing, browser detection and response, and DLP. Security teams start from pre-configured profiles against phishing, credential theft and data leaks, then tune policy centrally across every browser. Protection runs in real time and targets zero-day attacks, phishing and identity theft.
Software Extension Security
Browser extensions often hold broad permissions over pages and data. This module protects the organisation against malicious extensions, using the extension events the platform already records to spot and remove risky ones.
AI Usage Control
AI Usage Control is for organisations whose staff are adopting generative AI tools faster than policy can keep up. It discovers third-party AI and agent usage in the browser, the shadow AI and shadow IT that staff use without approval, audits that activity and enforces security policies on it. Agent activity that runs through a user’s browser is governed under the same point-of-click policies as the person using it.
Agentic Browser Intelligence
Agentic Browser Intelligence turns the browser telemetry into instant answers, investigations and actions, so analysts can ask questions about user activity and move straight to an investigation or follow-up action rather than searching raw logs.
How It Works
Deployment is agentless in the sense that no separate endpoint agent is needed. A lightweight extension is added to existing browsers on laptops and workstations and can be pushed silently through MDM, Group Policy or other software distribution tools. Keep Aware reports setup in 5 to 15 minutes.
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Browser extension | Runs inside Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and Chromium browsers such as Arc and Brave, and records page visits, extension events and data transfers. |
| Traffic path | There is “No Proxy, No Decryption”: traffic is not tunnelled through another data centre. |
| Management console | Administrators set policies, monitor activity and manage risk across all browsers from one place. |
| Hosting | The service runs on Amazon Web Services. |
