Keepit backs up and restores the data organisations keep in SaaS applications, from Microsoft 365 and Entra ID to Salesforce, Okta and GitHub. It is for IT and security teams who rely on cloud services but remain responsible for protecting the data in them, and it keeps that data in a separate, immutable copy on Keepit’s own infrastructure so it can be recovered after deletion, corruption or attack.
The same model now extends to the AI tools and agents that organisations connect to those applications.

What Keepit Does
SaaS providers keep their services running, but backup of the data inside a tenant stays with the customer. Keepit fills that gap by holding backups apart from production, on a vendor-neutral cloud it runs itself with no third-party sub-processors and a no-transfer guarantee. If a tenant is compromised, an admin deletes the wrong objects or a provider has an outage, the copy is still there and still immutable. Retention can be set for up to 99 years, which makes the service a record for audits as well as a recovery tool, and it supports requirements under GDPR, HIPAA, NIS2, NIST and DORA.
Products
SaaS Backup And Recovery
The core service protects a long list of SaaS applications for organisations that want one backup for their whole cloud estate rather than a tool for each. Restores run from a single item up to a full tenant, objects and folders can be downloaded, and users can receive sharable links to recovered files. A Job Monitor tracks changes snapshot by snapshot and shows how many changes were made, which helps spot mass deletion or encryption early.
Entra ID Backup
Entra ID backup is aimed at identity teams who need to roll back a misconfiguration or recover a tenant after an attack. It captures far more than user accounts: groups, admin units and roles, enterprise apps and app registrations, Conditional Access policies, Intune device compliance and configuration policies, BitLocker recovery keys and activity logs. Restores can be in place, cross-tenant or in bulk, and Keepit recreates missing subobjects so restored items work as before.
AI Truth Cloud
AI Truth Cloud extends the platform to AI, for organisations that have started connecting agents and models to their business data and need a way back when something goes wrong.
| AI Connector Backup | Protects agent configurations, AI skills, projects and models with point-in-time restore, giving a recovery point if an agent misbehaves or is compromised. |
|---|---|
| Keepit MCP platform | A headless API layer that connects Keepit to AI tools and workflows, so AI systems can query and audit backed-up data programmatically. |
| AI Safe Room | An isolated, immutable copy of data for AI training, inference and testing, with rollback if a model or agent produces unintended results. |
How It Works
Keepit runs as SaaS on its own infrastructure rather than on a hyperscaler.
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Independent cloud | Backups sit on Keepit’s vendor-neutral cloud, isolated from production by an air-gapped design. |
| Data residency | Customers choose one of seven regions: the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark and the UK. Each region has two mirrored data centres running active-active, operated with partners Equinix and Cibicom, and backup data stays in the chosen region. |
| Tamper resistance | No interface allows data to be overwritten, a Merkle tree structure makes any tampering evident, and data is protected with TLS in transit and AES encryption at rest. |
