Leostream makes remote desktop access software for hybrid organisations. IT teams use it to connect employees, contractors and other outside users to the specific desktops, workstations and applications they need, across on-premises, hybrid and multi-cloud environments, without putting everyone on a VPN.
The problem it solves is over-broad access: a contractor who needs one workstation should not land on the whole network, and every session should be tied to an identity and a policy.

What Leostream Does
Remote work and outside contractors push organisations to open up desktops and workstations, and a VPN tends to give people far more network reach than they need. Leostream brokers access to individual resources instead. Each user is connected only to the resources assigned to them, through gateways that give remote access without a VPN. Administrators get visibility into users, security, costs and provisioning across hybrid cloud environments, so one access layer replaces a patchwork of separate tools for each environment and each group of users.
Products
Leostream Platform
The Remote Desktop Access Platform is the self-managed core, made up of the Connection Broker, Gateway and Leostream Agent. It suits organisations running VDI, cloud desktops or GPU workstations that want one access layer over all of them. It supports display protocols such as RDP, VNC, Amazon DCV and HP Anyware (PCoIP), and adds multi-factor authentication, access control rules and audit-level tracking.
Leostream Cloud
Leostream Cloud is aimed at teams that want remote access without running the broker themselves. Users sign in through a central access interface and see only the systems they are permitted to use. Its agent relies on outbound connectivity, so RDP and SSH are never exposed directly to the internet, and identity-based authentication and policy are applied at each connection.
Leostream Privileged Remote Access
Contractors, freelancers and service providers often need short-term access to sensitive systems. This service manages and secures that access to data, applications and IT infrastructure by non-employees:
- role-based access sized to each external user’s job
- access limited by date and time and revoked automatically
- session recordings and logs of third-party logins and resource usage
- deployable stand-alone or alongside the Remote Desktop Access Platform
How It Works
Leostream runs in on-premises, hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including GPU-enabled ones on AWS EC2, Amazon WorkSpaces Core, Azure, Google Cloud Platform and OpenStack, and the Connection Broker and Gateway scale to many users across those environments.
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Central sign-in | Users authenticate through one access interface, with multi-factor authentication where configured. |
| Connection Broker | Applies access control rules and offers each user only their assigned resources. |
| Gateway | Carries the remote session to the resource without a VPN. |
| Leostream Agent | Runs on the target systems; in Leostream Cloud it connects outbound rather than accepting inbound connections. |
