LogMeIn is the IT management and remote support brand of GoTo. It sells tools that let IT departments and managed service providers support people working away from the office, keep their devices patched and protected, and reach those devices remotely when something goes wrong.
Its customers range from managed service providers looking after many client estates to large enterprise help desks, retailers with fleets of fixed devices, and small businesses that just need to reach a computer remotely.

What LogMeIn Does
Work no longer happens mainly inside an office network, so perimeter controls on premises do little to protect the laptops and phones that staff use from home or on the road. LogMeIn’s answer is a set of cloud tools that let a support team see, fix and secure those devices wherever they are, while checking who is doing what at every step. Security across the range rests on a zero trust model that “verifies every identity, device, and action,” backed by layered authentication and encryption.
Products
LogMeIn Resolve
Resolve brings endpoint support, security and management into one console for managed service providers and internal IT departments. Technicians handle patching, alerting, antivirus and remote execution from the same place, across Windows, Mac and Android devices. Built-in AI flags issues and writes scripts in PowerShell, Shell, JavaScript or Python, and the GoPilot tool drafts help desk ticket summaries.
LogMeIn Rescue
Rescue is the remote support tool for enterprise help desks that need tight control over their own technicians. Sign-in is enforced through mandatory SSO, directory sync and multi-factor authentication, and granular permissions limit which tools each technician role can use, keeping access to least privilege. Sessions are logged for audit and can extend to a phone camera through Live Lens and remote camera sharing.
- Customisable data storage policies
- Audit-ready logging for compliance work
LogMeIn Central
Central gives operators “centralized control for kiosks, POS, and desktops.” A single dashboard shows device status, raises connectivity alerts and pushes software, while remote control reaches any PC or Mac. User groups, permissions, two-factor authentication and extended computer access decide who can do what, and Bitdefender antivirus plus a Security Center watch for possible mishandling of sensitive information.
LogMeIn Pro And GoToMyPC
These two are the simpler end of the range, for people who need to reach a computer rather than run a support operation. Pro gives small businesses remote computer access with Bitdefender antivirus included. GoToMyPC is remote desktop software for prosumers and solo entrepreneurs who want to reach their own machine from elsewhere.
How It Works
Every LogMeIn product is delivered as cloud software. Resolve follows an application service provider model.
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Hosting | Resolve runs on Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, with backups in several regions. Where data is held depends on the data residency option the customer chooses. |
| Endpoint agent | An agent sits on each managed device. The private key that signs commands is known only to that agent, so every command can be verified on the device before it runs. |
| Technician sign-in | In Resolve, agents and account administrators log in with an email address and password, and administrators can switch on two-factor authentication for the whole account. |
| Encryption | Resolve encrypts traffic with TLS 1.2 or higher and stores customer content with AES 256-bit encryption. Rescue sessions use end-to-end 256-bit AES over TLS 1.3. |
Identities And Systems Covered
| IT technicians and administrators | Signed in through SSO, directory sync, MFA or email and password, and limited by role-based technician permissions. |
|---|---|
| End users | People who receive remote support in Rescue sessions or connect remotely through Pro and GoToMyPC. |
| Managed endpoints | Windows, Mac and Android devices in Resolve; PCs, Macs, kiosks and POS terminals in Central. |
| Directories | Active Directory, synchronised with Rescue for technician accounts. |
Agentic AI Capabilities
Resolution Agent
The Resolution Agent in Resolve takes a user’s request, asks follow-up questions, runs diagnostics on the device and applies a fix once a technician approves it with one click. The aim is to identify, diagnose and remediate issues on its own while keeping a person in charge of the final change.
Data And Patching Insights
Resolve also offers Dynamic Device Data Insights, which builds device reports from plain-language requests with no SQL needed, and Simplified Patching Intelligence, which tracks the patching lifecycle and analyses failed patches automatically.
AI In Rescue
After each Rescue session, the AI add-on writes structured notes. During the session it reads on-screen errors and suggests fixes, and it reports device health in real time.
