Lookout protects the mobile workforce. Its platform defends phones and tablets, both corporate-owned and personal, against phishing, social engineering and account takeover, and it gives security teams visibility of the AI apps that reach corporate data from those devices.
It is for security teams whose staff do real work on mobile devices, where attackers now reach people through texts, calls and apps rather than through the corporate network.

What Lookout Does
Phones carry corporate email, chat, SaaS apps and now AI assistants, yet they often sit outside the security stack. Lookout puts artificial intelligence at the foundation of its threat detection and treats mobile security as a layer on top of device management: “MDM manages devices, Lookout protects them.” Where MDM controls configuration, Lookout adds active threat detection and risk scoring. That risk then flows to the rest of the estate, so access decisions and SOC investigations can take the state of the mobile device into account.
Products
Social Engineering Protection
Attackers increasingly reach staff through texts and phone calls rather than email. Social Engineering Protection is an add-on module that existing customers switch on from the admin console without extra agents or infrastructure.
- Smishing protection that continuously analyses incoming SMS, MMS and RCS messages on iOS and Android
- Vishing protection that analyses audio and voicemail for voice clones and deepfakes
- Call transcription to flag scam patterns
- Phone number authentication and centralised call blocking across the workforce
It judges the intent and context of each interaction and checks whether audio is authentic, so it can block multi-channel smishing and calls that use cloned voices.
Mobile Software Exposure Center
Built into Lookout Mobile Endpoint Security, the Mobile Software Exposure Center (MSEC) helps teams find, verify, rank and fix exploitable flaws in the mobile apps their staff use.
- Fleet-wide risk correlation with CVE data, threat intelligence and CISA’s KEV catalog
- A versioned software bill of materials built from compiled iOS and Android app binaries, with no source code needed
- Enforcement that adapts to vulnerability severity, age and fix status
- Vendor security hygiene tracking with a Mean Time to Patch metric
- Output into exposure management platforms and CTEM workflows
Mobile AI Security
Mobile AI Security scores the behavioural risk of apps dynamically, across more than 420 million apps, so risky or malicious apps can be flagged before they cause harm.
Advanced SOC (Mobile EDR)
For SOC teams that lack mobile visibility, Advanced SOC sends mobile telemetry into existing tools for correlation, threat hunting and automated response, and anomaly detection helps automate triage.
AI Visibility & Governance
Staff install AI apps on their phones without asking IT. AI Visibility & Governance gives security teams a full inventory of the AI apps that touch corporate data on corporate-owned and BYOD devices, so shadow AI becomes visible, and it enforces policy before sensitive data leaves the device.
How It Works
Protection runs on the iOS and Android devices themselves and does not need traffic to be backhauled through a VPN. Administrators enable and configure modules from a central admin console, and new modules arrive as add-ons to the same deployment.
From the device, two streams leave the platform. Continuous device risk signals go to access systems, so that a compromised or risky device can be denied access in real time as part of Zero Trust decisions. Mobile telemetry goes to security operations tools for detection and response.
