Monitaur makes AI governance software for organisations that have to prove their AI models are safe, fair and compliant, particularly in regulated industries such as insurance and financial services. Its platform covers the whole model lifecycle, from writing the governance policy to testing a model before release and monitoring its decisions in production.
It works across generative AI, agentic AI and traditional models, including models bought from third parties, so one governance programme can cover everything an organisation runs.

What Monitaur Does
As AI spreads through an organisation, risk, compliance and data science teams need a consistent way to validate models and report on them to regulators, auditors and the board. Spreadsheets and one-off reviews do not scale, evidence often has to be rebuilt for every audit, and models bought from vendors are often governed less closely than those built in-house. Monitaur gives these teams a shared system: policies define which controls apply to which models, every model and use case sits in one inventory with its controls, and automated tests and production logs generate the evidence that those controls are working.
Products
Define
Define is where a governance programme takes shape, for organisations that are starting out or reworking their approach. It covers policy review, programme design, risk assessment and education, supported by modular enterprise AI policy templates and workshops.
Manage
Manage is the day-to-day record of AI governance. It holds a complete inventory of AI models and use cases, applies common controls from a library that includes 33 flexible controls for high-risk models, and supports collaborative workflows between model owners, risk teams and reviewers. Vendor governance comes with pre-mapped controls for agentic AI and continuously managed controls for vendor models such as GPT and Claude, which helps enterprises that buy more AI than they build.
Automate
Automate produces the technical evidence. FlightSim evaluates a model before deployment, much like a penetration test for AI, and returns letter grades with recommendations for remediation. Record monitors models in production, logging decisions and checking outputs against safe ranges. Drift and bias validation, stress testing and transaction search complete the module.
How It Works
Monitaur is delivered as an enterprise platform with enterprise-grade security and infrastructure, covered by its SOC 2 Type II report.
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Flow of evidence | Governance runs in one direction: policies set in Define determine which controls apply to each model; Manage links every model, including third-party and agentic AI, to those controls and its review workflow; and test results before deployment and production logs from Automate are attached to that record as evidence. |
| Connectors | API access and client libraries connect the platform to existing modelling and MLOps tools. |
