N-able makes security and IT management software for managed service providers (MSPs) and internal IT teams. Its products let a service provider monitor, patch, protect and back up many customer environments from central consoles, and add detection and response when something gets through.
The problem it addresses is scale: a service provider has to keep many small customer environments patched, protected and recoverable with a limited team, and needs those jobs to work from the same consoles.

What N-Able Does
An MSP looking after hundreds of small and mid-sized customers needs remote monitoring and management, security and recovery that work together without a separate tool for each client. N-able’s approach is layered. Endpoint management is the base, because a provider cannot protect what it does not manage. Protection and detection sit on top, with a managed security operations service for providers that cannot staff a SOC. Backup and recovery cover the case where an attack still succeeds, and credential management controls how technicians reach client systems in the first place.
Products
N-Central And N-Sight
N-central and N-sight are N-able’s two unified endpoint management products. N-central, with RMM features, is aimed at MSPs and IT teams with larger or more complex estates. It brings vulnerability and patch management sped up with AI, drag-and-drop automation that removes manual tasks, the N-zo AI assistant, which technicians can question and which surfaces risks across the managed estate, and an AI-assisted Dev Portal for building custom integrations.
Adlumin
Adlumin gives MSPs and IT teams a security operations function without building a SOC themselves, combining AI with human analysts.
- MDR for round-the-clock detection and response that also supports compliance
- XDR that detects threats across endpoints, DNS and shadow AI activity
- ITDR for Microsoft 365 environments
- SIEM support, penetration testing and SOAR
Cove Data Protection
Cove brings backup, data security and disaster recovery into one product. It protects servers, workstations and SaaS data, includes worldwide cloud storage, keeps backups isolated by default with immutable copies, and offers disaster recovery and DRaaS.
Passportal
Passportal handles privileged access for MSP technicians across client devices, networks and applications.
- Encrypted storage and retrieval of credentials and privileged knowledge
- Password generation and automated password updates
- Granular access control by client, subfolder and individual password
- IT documentation
Endpoint Security And Other Tools
Endpoint Security, EDR, Managed EDR and Threat Hunting protect managed devices. Endpoint Security includes proactive protection under ResilienceAI, N-able’s umbrella for AI features across the portfolio. The portfolio also includes Mail Assure, Take Control, DNS Filtering and MSP Manager.
How It Works
Cove runs on a cloud-first architecture delivered as SaaS, with storage managed by N-able and backup copies kept immutable and isolated.
Adlumin is delivered as a service. Its own AI automates a reported 90% of investigation and remediation, and SOC analysts working around the clock validate alerts and hunt threats. In-platform workflows handle routine actions such as isolating an endpoint.
The ITDR engine reads Microsoft 365 telemetry, builds behaviour baselines with machine learning and neutralises threats automatically according to severity.
