OneID is a UK verification orchestration platform for identity, age and AML checks. Businesses use it to confirm who a customer is, how old they are or whether they pass KYC, while sending each person down the quickest route that still meets the business’s compliance rules.
The problem it tackles is drop-off: verification journeys that ask everyone for the same heavy checks lose genuine customers, while light checks leave firms short of their regulatory duties.

What OneID Does
Instead of asking everyone to photograph a passport, OneID connects to global data sources and digital identity schemes and falls back to document scanning only when needed. One integration covers identity, age and KYC checks across many markets, so a business does not need a separate supplier for each check or each country. Clients set their risk thresholds and compliance rules; OneID then chooses the lightest compliant path for each user, so most people never upload a document. Processing is consented and audited, and no raw data is retained.
Products
Identity Verification
Identity Verification gives onboarding teams several ways to establish who someone is. UK bank-based checks deliver high assurance with little effort from the user. Government-issued documents can be verified with a live facial match, people with a Google Wallet, Apple Wallet or existing OneID credential can reuse it, and identity and age data can be cross-checked with mobile networks.
KYC Match
Students, people new to the UK and the self-employed often fail credit-only identity checks because they have thin files. KYC Match gives these applicants a second chance by checking electoral roll, payroll and pensions, council tax, bank account, credit, finance and insurance records. Financial services firms get identity, KYC and AML due diligence in one API call, and gambling operators can recover failed applicants while meeting LCCP and AML obligations.
Age Verification
Platforms covered by the UK Online Safety Act, GDPR-K or U.S. state laws need age checks that do not drive users away. Age Verification offers passkey reuse with a face scan or fingerprint, mobile number and bank account checks, wallet credentials, European eIDV schemes, and document plus liveness.
How It Works
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Single API | A client describes the data to verify, the regulations to meet and the markets to cover, and OneID returns a hosted flow to hand to the user. |
| Routing | OneID picks the compliant path with the least friction from bank, wallet, mobile, document and data sources. |
| Returned profile | The result comes back as a JSON profile with claims such as name, birthdate and address. |
| Sandbox | Developers register for a sandbox account and simulate outcomes with test identities and documents before moving to production. |
Identities And Systems Covered
| Consumers and customers | Identity, age and KYC checks for individuals |
|---|---|
| AI agents | Agents acting on behalf of a verified user under a scoped mandate |
| Identity schemes | EU Digital Identity Wallet, Google Wallet, Apple Wallet and the OneID credential |
| Data sources | 40+ sources, including UK bank accounts and Open Banking, mobile networks, government records and credit reference data |
| Documents | Passports and driving licences across 200+ countries |
Agentic AI Capabilities
Verified Agent Authority
When an AI agent tries to buy something, a merchant has no easy way to know whether a real person stands behind it. OneID addresses fraud from impersonated or rogue agents. A user verifies with OneID, grants an agent permission and sets limits on what it can buy, where and for how much. OneID then gives the merchant proof that the verified user authorised the action before the transaction completes. Mandates can be scoped, time-limited and revoked, and agent actions leave an audit trail.
