Picus Security helps security teams find out which exposures attackers could really exploit and whether their existing controls would stop them. Rather than relying on scan results or vendor promises, it safely runs real attack techniques in the customer’s environment, measures what gets through and supplies the fixes. “Picus proves what attackers can exploit and what your defenses stop.”
It is aimed at security teams that have invested heavily in prevention and detection tools and need evidence, not assumptions, about what those tools stop.

What Picus Does
New vulnerabilities arrive faster than teams can patch them, with around 132 new CVEs a day and attackers weaponising some within hours. Picus addresses the gap between what defenders believe their controls stop and what an attacker can actually achieve, so that remediation effort goes to the exposures that matter.
Validation is treated as a loop rather than an annual exercise: controls are retested after each change, results update as conditions shift, and every fix is checked by running the same attack again.
Products
Breach And Attack Simulation
Breach and Attack Simulation is for teams that have invested in EDR, SIEM, firewalls and email security and need proof they are configured to stop current threats. It runs real adversary techniques against those live controls, then supplies vendor-specific prevention signatures and detection rules ready to deploy, and re-runs the same simulation to confirm the gap has closed. The library holds more than 30,000 TTPs and thousands of threat scenarios, maintained by Picus Labs with a 24-hour SLA for critical threats.
Autonomous Penetration Testing And Attack Path Validation
Penetration tests are usually occasional and manual. This product runs autonomous agents that chain real attacks across the whole environment to show which exposures are genuinely exploitable.
- Enumerates external assets, internal networks, identities and misconfigurations
- Chains exposures across hosts within guardrails the customer sets
- Captures proof of compromise for crown jewel assets
- Recommends compensating controls for each stage of an attack chain where no patch exists
Exposure Validation
Exposure Validation answers a narrower question: of the exposures a team already knows about, which ones can actually be exploited here? That lets remediation be ranked by real exploitability instead of severity scores alone.
How It Works
Validation runs as a continuous cycle that repeats as the environment changes. Simulations are designed to run safely against production controls, without disrupting users, systems or business operations, so testing does not have to wait for a maintenance window.
Each run follows the same sequence: enumerate the environment, execute techniques, record proof where an asset is reached, then rank remediation by exploitability and blast radius and validate the fixed path again. Control tools and exposure sources connect through APIs, which is also how fixes and policies are pushed back.
Agentic AI Capabilities
Picus Swarm And Numi AI
Numi AI is a generative AI security analyst that lets anyone on a security team query up-to-date threat and validation information. It also orchestrates Picus Swarm, a set of five specialist AI agents: it watches for changes, decides which workflow each change matters for and directs the agents from start to finish, with every action recorded in audit trails. Each workflow can be set to Manual, Supervised or Fully Autonomous, so teams decide how far the agents act without approval.
Specialist Agents
| Discovery Agent | Builds a live picture of the environment, correlating assets, exposures and business context |
|---|---|
| Exploitation Agent | Carries out autonomous penetration testing and chains exposures towards crown jewels |
| Validation Agent | Confirms exploitability and checks whether controls prevent or detect each technique |
| Mobilization Agent | Deploys safe fixes, opens scoped tickets and pushes policies through control APIs |
| Reporting Agent | Produces outputs for each audience, including audit-ready records |
Integrations
| Area | Integrations |
|---|---|
| Security controls | More than 75 integrations covering EDR, SIEM, NGFW, WAF and email gateways |
| SIEM | Microsoft Sentinel detection content |
| IT service management | ServiceNow |
| Exposure sources | Vulnerability scanners and attack surface management tools |
