Pointsharp is a European cybersecurity company that helps organisations control who can access their systems and how sensitive information leaves them. Its identity and access products run on-premises, in the cloud or in hybrid environments, which suits public bodies, manufacturers and regulated enterprises that cannot move everything to a single cloud.
Its products are designed to extend an organisation’s existing Microsoft Entra environment and on-premises systems rather than replace them, so customers can strengthen identity security without a migration project.

What Pointsharp Does
Pointsharp addresses three linked problems. Identities need governing across their lifecycle, logins need to be strong without blocking work, especially across mixed cloud and on-premises estates, and files shared with outside parties need protecting and tracing. Pointsharp treats these as one chain: deciding who should have access, enforcing that decision at login, and protecting what people and systems send once they are in. AI agents are handled as one more kind of identity in that chain, with an owner, scoped access and an audit trail.
Products
Identity Governance And Administration
Pointsharp’s IGA product covers the identity lifecycle for identity teams, from automated provisioning through access reviews and segregation of duties. SAP customers get dedicated tooling in Identity Governance for SAP, which builds and automates SAP authorization concepts, with automated role mining to scope what users and agents can do. Identity Sync keeps identity changes aligned across systems, Identity Directory provides a directory service, and identity management for Microsoft builds on an existing Entra setup. The same product governs AI agents, giving each one an owner, lifecycle, approvals and an audit trail.
Access Management
Access Management gives users single sign-on across cloud, on-premises and legacy systems, backed by multi-factor authentication. It supports FIDO2 with device-bound and synchronized passkeys and passkey management, certificate-based authentication with certificate lifecycle management, and Zero Trust Network Access. The same access controls can sit in front of MCP servers and the tools AI agents connect to. An identity provider, app portal and self-service sit alongside, and Swedish organisations can use eID-as-a-Service. PKI Management and PKI as a service supply the certificates behind it. A dedicated version targets manufacturing.
Secure Information Exchange
Secure Information Exchange lets staff send and receive sensitive files with external parties who do not need an account, with no file size limits. It works from Outlook and Notes or a web app, and automated machine-to-human and machine-to-machine transfers keep a full audit trail. AI-generated output can be sent the same way, encrypted and with access rules.
How It Works
Pointsharp’s solutions run in cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments. Access Management is delivered as software and can be deployed on-premises, in the customer’s own cloud, or as a service through a trusted partner. PKI Management is available as a service or on-premises.
| Governance data flow | The IGA product connects to applications and systems across the organisation, including SAP and Microsoft Entra, and Identity Sync carries each identity change to the connected systems |
|---|---|
| Enforcement point | Access Management sits in front of applications, APIs and MCP servers, where it applies SSO, MFA and policy at sign-in |
| File exchange | Encrypted transfers pass through email clients, a web app or system integrations, and each one is logged |
