Privado makes AI privacy automation software for privacy teams. It scans code, websites, mobile apps and third-party systems to build a live picture of where personal data goes, then uses AI agents to complete the assessments and records that regulations such as GDPR and CCPA require.
The aim is to replace questionnaire-driven compliance work with continuous visibility, so privacy teams are working from what systems actually do rather than what someone remembered to report.

What Privado Does
Privacy teams usually learn about new data flows by sending questionnaires to engineers and business owners, and the answers are out of date as soon as they arrive. Privado builds data maps from what it finds by scanning, covering more than 110 types of personal data across the tech stack, and its agents read documents to fill in the gaps. Those maps then drive privacy impact assessments (PIAs), data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), records of processing activities (RoPAs) and risk discovery. The platform also handles consent monitoring and digital tracking governance on websites and apps.
Products
Wren
Wren is an AI privacy agent that runs a privacy review from intake through to approval routing, so a small privacy team can keep up with product change. It picks up requests from internal tools such as Jira, contract lifecycle management and procurement systems, selects the assessment type based on the customer’s policies, generates the assessment from imported documentation, interview transcripts and contracts, and tracks risks with remediation plans linked to evidence. The privacy team keeps the final say on every approval.
Agentic Assessments
Agentic Assessments populates entire PIAs, DPIAs and RoPAs by having agents analyse imported documents. It suits teams that face a large backlog of assessments and want a first draft based on real evidence rather than a blank template.
Dynamic Data Maps
Data maps stay current as data flows change. The module provides:
- A data inventory that tags sensitive health, financial and location data
- Third-party discovery with real-time alerts when a new third party or data element appears
- Data flow mapping across websites, apps, databases, third parties and cross-border transfers
- RoPA automation from scanning and documentation
- Data Map Agents that fill blind spots in the automated maps, and Risk Agents that simulate user journeys to uncover more risk
Web Auditor And App Auditor
These modules are for teams that must prove consent and tracking rules hold on live properties. Web Auditor continuously scans websites to verify consent banners, cookies, pixels and data flows across locations. App Auditor checks iOS and Android app files after each update for consent banners, SDKs and data flows.
Open-Source Code Scanning
Privado’s open-source privacy code scanner is aimed at developers. It maps personal data from collection points to third parties, APIs, SDKs and logs, and finds common CWE and OWASP data security vulnerabilities such as data leaks to logs and insecure storage. The CLI runs locally, so no code leaves the developer’s machine.
How It Works
The service runs on Amazon Web Services rather than physical servers of Privado’s own, and combines scanning with agent analysis.
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Code scanning | Scans the code of first-party apps, websites and back-end software. |
| Third-party scanning | Scans CRM, HR, contract lifecycle management, marketing and procurement systems, customer data platforms and tag managers. |
| Web and app auditing | Scans live websites and iOS and Android app files. |
| AI agents | Read contracts, policies, documentation and data inventories to complete assessments and data maps. |
| Security controls | A virtual private cloud with no public IP addresses, TLS in transit, database encryption at rest and continuous control monitoring through Drata. Customer data and code are never used to train AI or machine learning models. |
