Quantstamp is a blockchain security company that audits smart contracts and protocols and helps web3 teams run their operations securely. Its clients are protocol teams, exchanges, wallet providers and enterprises building on public chains, where a single flaw in contract code or a single stolen signing key can drain a treasury.
Many of the largest web3 losses have come not from contract bugs but from how teams run their operations, so the company looks at both the code and the people and systems around it.

What Quantstamp Does
Web3 projects are attacked through their code and through the people and systems that operate them. Quantstamp’s approach is to combine point-in-time reviews with continuous assurance, so a protocol is checked before launch and kept under watch afterwards. The result is evidence that users, partners and exchanges can review.
Each kind of assurance answers a different question. An audit assesses one version of the code, formal verification proves properties within a model and its assumptions, and monitoring observes live activity.
Products
Smart Contract Audits
Audits are for teams preparing a launch or an upgrade. Quantstamp reviews the contracts and protocol, delivers an initial report with findings and recommendations, reviews the fixes and issues a final report, which can be published on certificate.quantstamp.com. Audits cover more than 20 languages.
Formal Verification And Continuous Assurance
This service suits protocols that change often and need more than a one-off review. Quantstamp agrees the properties and model assumptions with the customer’s engineers, establishes a baseline, connects the repositories for automated checks and reruns the affected checks when code, permissions or dependencies change. AI drafts the properties and helps with proof work, formal tools verify the claims and human experts investigate what they find, flagging changed assumptions and changes the model does not cover.
Economic Exploit Analysis And Penetration Testing
Economic exploit analysis finds and mitigates flash loan and other economic attacks against a protocol. Penetration testing examines the web2 infrastructure around a web3 system, such as APIs, cloud and servers.
OpSec Review
OpSec Review looks at how a protocol is run rather than how its contracts are written, and delivers a prioritised hardening handbook. It maps who and what can reach sensitive assets, flags over-privileged or stale access, traces attack chains from a phishing email or leaked token through to code, keys or treasury, and checks whether one compromised pipeline step could reach production.
Monitor
Monitor continuously watches the trust surfaces around a product. A Communication Firewall, built with Common Defense, analyses links across email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord and Slack and protects against phishing and social engineering. Monitor also covers on-chain and treasury activity, data exfiltration and endpoints.
Certification, Incident Response And VCISO
SEAL certification gives partners and buyers evidence of a team’s security, scored across six domains and recorded as an “on-chain attestation”. Incident response contains, eradicates and recovers from active incidents, and the vCISO service provides on-call senior security leadership for web3 teams.
How It Works
Quantstamp delivers most of its offerings as expert engagements, with Monitor running continuously alongside them.
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Audit engagement | Scoping starts from details about the team and project and a kickoff meeting, after which the report cycle begins. |
| Continuous assurance | Formal verification and Monitor are wired into the customer’s repositories, contracts and channels, so checks and alerts run between engagements without a new kickoff. |
| Certification | Each SEAL domain is scored independently. An organisation either meets the standard and receives the attestation, or receives a gap report and is reassessed later. |
Identities And Systems Covered
| Identities and access | Identity systems and accounts, with over-privileged or stale access flagged |
|---|---|
| Keys and credentials | Source code, signing keys and deployment credentials treated as sensitive assets |
| Pipelines and cloud | CI/CD, dependencies, deployment paths and cloud infrastructure |
| SEAL domains | Multisig operations, treasury operations, incident response, DevOps and infrastructure, DNS and registrar, and identity and accounts |
| Blockchains | Ethereum, Solana, Flow, Avalanche, Cardano, Binance Smart Chain, Near, Hedera Hashgraph, Tezos, Aptos and Sui |
