RapidFort is a software supply chain security company that helps engineering and security teams remove the vulnerabilities their containerised applications inherit from base images and open-source components.
It supplies hardened container images and vetted libraries, profiles what actually runs in production, and strips out the rest, so teams spend less time patching and can meet strict compliance baselines without changing their code, operating system or pipelines.

What RapidFort Does
A typical container image carries hundreds of packages, most of which the application never uses, and each one brings its own CVEs. Security teams then spend their time chasing patches for code that does not run. RapidFort tackles the problem from both ends: it starts teams on cleaner components, and it uses evidence of what actually executes to remove what does not. The aim is fewer findings to patch in the first place, with a reported reduction of up to 99.9% of CVEs, and compliance evidence that comes out of the same process rather than a separate audit project.
Products
RapidFort Curated Images
Curated Images are “hardened, production-grade base images with Near-Zero CVEs” for teams that want a clean starting point. The catalogue holds tens of thousands of manually patched images on Alpine, Debian, Red Hat UBI and Ubuntu LTS, with CIS and DISA STIG hardened variants, FIPS 140-2 and 140-3 variants and SBOM export.
RapidFort Curated Libraries
Curated Libraries are malware-scanned open-source libraries that are pin-for-pin compatible with existing tools, so developers can adopt them without rewriting dependencies. ReversingLabs Spectra Assure independently validates every library.
RapidFort Analyzer
Analyzer tells teams which vulnerabilities really apply. It provides validated vulnerability intelligence across images, registries, CI pipelines and clusters, produces SBOMs and CVE applicability checks, and exports them in SPDX, CycloneDX, JSON and CSV.
RapidFort Profiler
Profiler watches running containers to generate the RBOM®. Profiling is continuous, adds less than 1% overhead and needs no application changes.
RapidFort Optimizer
Optimizer uses the runtime data to remove components that never execute, then rebuilds minimal images every 24 hours so the reduced attack surface stays current.
RapidFort CART
CART is for teams that must prove compliance. It checks images and virtual machines against CIS, STIG, NIST and FIPS baselines and generates audit-ready reports. Supported frameworks include FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST SP 800-53, HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, NIS2 and the EU Cyber Resilience Act.
RapidFort Runtime
Runtime, now generally available, tracks deployed software in production, detects drift and tampering, and recommends mitigations.
How It Works
RapidFort runs as a multi-tenant SaaS subscription or on-premises in a customer’s private cloud, including air-gapped environments. It drops into standard registries and CI/CD pipelines.
- Registry. Customers can use the RapidFort registry or keep their own.
- Build pipeline. Images are scanned where they are built and stored, and minimal rebuilds are pushed back into the same pipelines.
- Kubernetes. Workloads are covered at every stage, and admission policies can make sure only approved images run.
- Runtime. Data collected from production containers flows back to the build side, closing the loop between what is built and what runs.
