Recast Software is an endpoint and application management company. It builds tools that extend Microsoft Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) and Intune, helping IT teams patch, fix and report on Windows devices faster, and it delivers and governs applications for users on physical and virtual desktops.
Its customers are the system administrators who run Microsoft endpoint estates day to day. Recast’s tools sit on top of the systems those teams already use rather than replacing them.

What Recast Software Does
Intune and ConfigMgr leave gaps that admins usually fill with scripts and manual work: patching third party apps, acting on many devices at once, seeing the health of the estate, or getting the right apps to the right people. Recast closes those gaps with remediation, continuous patching, endpoint visibility and automated application delivery.
On the application side, Recast separates software from hardware and ties access to the user’s identity, so people launch approved tools from one place while IT keeps control of delivery, updates and compliance.
Products
Right Click Tools
Right Click Tools brings Intune and ConfigMgr tasks into one toolkit, so admins can act on devices without switching between consoles. It comes in Community and Enterprise editions with add-on modules.
- Patch deployment and compliance enforcement across Microsoft and third party apps
- Workflow automation with bulk actions and custom automations
- Insights dashboards for compliance, endpoint health, hardware lifecycle and warranty status
- A browser extension for running actions in Intune and other browser-based applications
Privileged Access Module
Helpdesk and desktop staff often hold admin rights they rarely need. The Privileged Access module grants admin rights only for the task at hand and removes them as soon as the job is done. Right Click Tools also puts role-based permissions around sensitive functions such as BitLocker recovery keys and LAPS passwords.
Application Workspace
Application Workspace helps organisations get the right software to each user, whatever device they sign in on. Each application has a Smart Icon that decides, by context, whether to install or stream it. Users pick from a role-based catalogue built on thousands of pre-wrapped installers, while IT pushes updates in rings from development through test and pilot to production. Every deployment, update and rollback is logged.
How It Works
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Right Click Tools | Runs alongside ConfigMgr and Intune, including on co-managed devices. Actions are run from the console or through the Intune browser extension. |
| Application Workspace agent | Can be installed during Windows Autopilot, so apps and personas are ready at first sign-in. Installs and updates can be triggered at login, logoff or lock, with identity-aware targeting. |
| Endpoint coverage | Laptops, Cloud PCs and virtual desktops on Windows and macOS, plus VDI and BYOD. |
| Complementary model | Application Workspace runs alongside the existing endpoint and virtual desktop platforms listed under Integrations, so nothing has to be ripped out. |
