Scribe Security is a software supply chain security company. Its SaaS platform, Scribe Trust Hub, helps software producers prove how their software was built and what it contains, and helps the organisations that buy that software check the proof.
Organisations that build or buy software need proof that it has not been tampered with and that its vulnerabilities are understood. Scribe treats supply chain security as a matter of evidence: signed records from each stage of the pipeline that show provenance, integrity and compliance, and that can be checked by anyone the producer chooses to share them with.

What Scribe Security Does
Scribe builds its approach on evidence gathered across the whole software supply chain. For each build it generates an SBOM and gathers and signs evidence of the security measures applied, checking provenance and integrity from source to delivery. That evidence then drives three things: governance of the development lifecycle through policy as code, compliance automation against frameworks such as SSDF and SLSA, and prioritisation of vulnerabilities. After release, the platform keeps watching for new advisories and uses the VEX standard to tell consumers which vulnerabilities actually affect them.

Scribe Trust Hub
Scribe Trust Hub is the SBOM-centric SaaS platform at the heart of the offering. It is for software producers that must show customers and regulators what is in their software. It generates multi-stage SBOMs for every build, ingests third-party SBOMs, detects code tampering and shares SBOMs, advisories and compliance proof with internal and external stakeholders in a controlled way. As new advisories are published, it tracks them against existing builds so the risk picture shared with customers stays current.
Attestations And Signing
Attestations prove that each step of a build happened as expected. Evidence is signed cryptographically with the customer’s own PKI or with Sigstore, provenance is checked from source to delivery, and both code and AI models can be signed at each stage.
Governance, Compliance And ASPM
This part of the platform is for security and compliance teams running application security programmes. Automated policy-as-code guardrails govern the development lifecycle, compliance against SSDF and SLSA is checked automatically, and Scribe’s own software composition analysis (SCA) is built in. Results from existing application security testing tools can be ingested so all findings are prioritised and analysed in one place.
How It Works
Scribe collects evidence from source control systems, CI tools, build servers, container registries and admission controllers, using an SSDLC agent in the pipeline. Signing uses either the customer’s own PKI or Sigstore, so evidence can be verified outside Scribe. The process runs in four steps.
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Map | The platform first maps the organisation’s SSDLC assets. |
| Collect and sign | It gathers security evidence from builds and signs it. |
| Analyse | Evidence becomes a knowledge layer with a BI interface, enriched with intelligence. |
| Gate | Development and deployment are gated by policies managed as code. |
