Symbiotic Security is an application security company for teams adopting AI coding tools. It lets developers use coding agents without shipping the vulnerabilities, leaked secrets and risky actions that unsupervised agents can introduce.
Security teams get one policy that applies wherever code is written, from the IDE and terminal to pull requests and CI pipelines, so a rule set once is enforced everywhere.

What Symbiotic Security Does
Enterprises adopting AI coding often feel they must choose between slowing adoption and piling up vulnerabilities. Symbiotic’s answer is to put security inside the generation step itself. Policy is applied before the agent writes anything, the output is checked and repaired as it is produced, and the result is tested again before it reaches a pull request. Developers keep the speed of AI coding, and security teams stop reviewing the same classes of flaw after the fact. Customer code is never used to train models.
Products
Symbiotic Code
Symbiotic Code is a secure coding agent, run from a terminal interface, for organisations that want AI coding with security built into each step. It works as a harness around a model-agnostic agent.
| Guardrails | Rules taken from existing documentation, discovered from the codebase or started from an industry template, applied before the agent writes code. |
|---|---|
| Auto-fix | Vulnerabilities such as hard-coded secrets and authentication and authorisation gaps are fixed during generation, and each fix is re-scanned and tested. |
| Sandboxing | A sandboxed runtime, a network policy the customer defines, and destructive commands blocked by default. |
| Prompt protection | Stops PII, credentials and confidential information leaking through prompts, with intent detection against adversarial prompting. |
| Tool control | Allow-lists or deny-lists for plugins, skills and MCP servers, with an inventory of each. |
| Model routing | Turn-by-turn routing and automatic selection across models. |
| Pull request review | Customers choose which severities block a merge, and each finding comes with a remediation. |
Symbiotic Flow
Symbiotic Flow is a vulnerability scanner for developers working without an agent harness. It finds and fixes vulnerabilities in IDEs and CI/CD pipelines with one-click fixes, gives real-time feedback with remediation advice, offers just-in-time training on the issues it finds, and keeps scanning both existing and new code.
How It Works
Symbiotic runs in its own cloud, the customer’s cloud or on premises. Detection runs on the client, and remediation can use local or cloud language models, which suits customers that cannot send code to a hosted model. Sandbox, network and command policies are set centrally and enforced at generation time.
Each agent turn passes through four stages. Prehooks enforce company policy before anything is generated, the model generates code, posthooks verify the output and apply fixes, and a final validation step rechecks that the fixed code still works.
