Tego AI governs the AI agents an organisation runs, from coding assistants to enterprise copilots. It is built for security teams that need to know which agents exist, what each one is meant to do, and how to keep its access limited to the task in front of it. “Your agents don’t have bad intentions. They just have unsupervised access.”
The problem is speed: coding, enterprise and productivity agents are adopted faster than anyone can govern them, and they tend to keep broad, standing access.

What Tego AI Does
Tego AI acts as a runtime control plane over all of them. It finds every agent, including local and shadow ones, works out what each is for and watches how it behaves, then narrows access to the current task. Actions are judged across the whole session rather than one at a time, so a step that drifts from the agent’s purpose is stopped before it runs. In one demonstration, an HR agent built in Microsoft Copilot Studio read a task comment and tried to delete an entire employee records table; Tego blocked the action and asked the user whether to go ahead. Just-in-time access replaces manual approvals for each agent.
Products
Discover
Discover shows which agents are running and what they can touch. Its Sprawl Map™ is a live inventory of sanctioned, shadow and local agents.
- Each agent’s accounts, connectors, skills, MCP servers and permissions, down to repository level
- Forensic detail for every tool call and bash command
- Personal and organisation identities kept apart, with usage and cost tracked
Understand
Understand gives each agent a Purpose Profile™ and compares what it is supposed to do with what it actually does. Posture is scored continuously against best practice, sensitive data such as PII, PHI and PCI is tracked for each agent and user, and token consumption is turned into cost per agent, user and department.
Control
Control is where access is enforced. Scope Enforcement™ grants access for the current task only, blocks anything outside the agent’s purpose and revokes access the moment the task ends.
- Default policies active from day one, with suggested policies switched on in one click
- An MCP server catalogue with per-tool risk scoring, and allowed tools set per server or per agent
- One-click fixes for configuration gaps in admin consoles
How It Works
Setup is a matter of connecting tools with API tokens, or running a lightweight script that brings agents on developer machines into the inventory, after which the inventory fills in by itself.
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Connectors | API token connections to 28 integrations covering coding agents, enterprise agents, agent infrastructure, endpoint management and identity providers. |
| Policy engine | Enforcement decisions are built on the Cedar policy engine, with OpenTelemetry support in the enforcement stack. |
| Inference hooks | For Anthropic’s server-side inference hooks, Tego runs a signed, HMAC-verified webhook endpoint that returns a verdict within the configured timeout. One organisation-level setting covers claude.ai, Cowork and Claude Code, and existing Tego policies carry over unchanged. |
Identities And Systems Covered
| AI agents | Sanctioned, shadow and local agents, with their skills and permissions. |
|---|---|
| Agent accounts and connectors | Accounts, connectors and MCP servers mapped per agent. |
| Human users | Personal and organisation identities kept separate, with sensitive data tracked for each user. |
| Coding agents | Claude Code, Cursor and GitHub Copilot, including their reach into codebases, CI/CD pipelines and environment secrets. |
