tenfold Software is a Vienna company that makes tenfold, an identity governance and administration (IGA) product for mid-sized organisations. tenfold automates the work of creating accounts, assigning and removing permissions and proving to auditors who has access to what, across Active Directory, Microsoft 365, SAP and other business applications.
It is designed to be run without developers: target systems are connected through more than 80 no-code plugins, and routine requests and approvals move from IT to the business departments that own the data.

What Tenfold Does
In many mid-sized organisations, access rights grow by accident. New starters copy a colleague’s permissions, people who change roles keep their old access, and leavers’ accounts linger. Each request reaches IT as a ticket, and when the auditors arrive nobody can easily show who holds what. tenfold addresses this by managing permissions in all connected IT systems automatically, from one central record of who holds what, and by handing routine decisions to the people who own the data. Governance and identity threat detection sit in one product, built so that mid-sized organisations can automate the management of IT access rights without scripting.
Products
Tenfold Access Governance Modules
tenfold is one product made of modules that cover the main tasks of an IGA programme:
| Role-based access | Access is assigned and revoked according to each user’s role, so permissions follow the job rather than individual tickets |
|---|---|
| User lifecycle management | Joiner, mover and leaver processes run automatically, closing the gap when someone changes role or leaves |
| Self-service and workflows | Requests and approvals go to the business departments responsible, taking routine work off IT |
| Access reporting | Access rights are analysed and documented in one place, ready for audits |
| User access reviews | Permissions are checked and confirmed on a regular cycle |
| Shared content governance | Access to content shared in Microsoft 365 is tracked and reviewed |
| Auditing and event logs | Events are analysed in real time to spot identity threats |
| Separation of duties | Incompatible permissions block each other so no user holds a risky combination |
How It Works
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Server installation | tenfold runs on premises rather than as a cloud service. It needs a Windows Server host and either Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Database. |
| Plugins | Target systems are connected through no-code plugins: an administrator downloads a plugin, adjusts its settings and starts using it without writing scripts. Plugins and their updates are released separately from tenfold versions, so new connectors do not wait for a product upgrade. |
| Custom connections | The PowerShell, Groovy and SSH plugins run custom scripts or jobs, the Generic Connector builds connections to systems without a ready-made plugin, and a REST API lets other applications trigger tenfold workflows. |
| Sign-in | Administrators and users sign in to tenfold with MFA and SSO. |
