Understanding Unixi

Unixi is a Universal SSO company that extends single sign-on, discovery and lifecycle control to the browser based applications an identity provider cannot reach. It is built for security and IT teams dealing with apps that do not support SAML, Shadow SaaS, shared accounts and logins that sit outside the IdP.

The platform sits alongside the identity provider an organisation already uses rather than replacing it, and also covers the AI tools employees connect to company data.

What Unixi Does

Most organisations have SSO for their main applications, but plenty of web apps never get connected: tools without SAML support, accounts that teams share, and SaaS that staff sign up for on their own. Those logins carry weak or reused passwords and are easy to forget at offboarding. Unixi works from the browser, where every one of those sign-ins happens, so it can see and control access to apps the IdP never federated with, and bring them under the same SSO, MFA and offboarding rules as the rest of the estate.

Products

Discovery

Discovery gives teams an inventory of the web applications people actually use. It captures login and registration attempts across browsers, maps identities to the access they hold, and brings Shadow SaaS into view, so IT can see accounts created without approval.

Risk Analysis

Risk Analysis helps security teams decide what to fix first. It flags weak or reused passwords and shared accounts, looks at login patterns to spot anomalous sign-ins, and presents the results on a live risk dashboard.

Access Management (Universal SSO And MFA)

This module is for organisations whose identity provider covers only part of the estate. It adds SSO and MFA to any SaaS application, including those without SAML support, without manual integration work.

Lifecycle Management

Lifecycle Management deals with joiners, role changes and leavers. Updates from the HR system become provisioning, role change and deprovisioning actions, a central inventory lists users, accounts and app instances, and orphaned or dormant accounts are found and reclaimed.

How It Works

Unixi deploys across all browsers. Login and registration attempts are captured in the browser, which feeds discovery and risk analysis, and SSO and lifecycle actions are applied to each application from there, without API configuration or a connector per app.

The platform works with existing SAML based identity providers such as Okta, Ping and Entra, which remain the source of truth for the apps they already cover.

Authentication relies on Key Derived Authentication (KDA), a multi-key, multi-location system, which means complex credentials are never stored.

Agentic AI Capabilities

Shadow AI Governance

Shadow AI Governance is aimed at security teams that cannot see which AI services staff have connected to company data. It continuously discovers the AI tools employees adopt and tracks adoption in real time as accounts are created. It maps OAuth permissions and active data bridges between AI apps and core SaaS, shows which third party tools can read, modify or index corporate resources, and gives granular control over API and OAuth pathways with one click disconnection.
