Verificient Technologies uses biometrics, computer vision and machine learning to confirm who is sitting an online exam or doing remote work, and whether they follow the rules while they do it. Its customers are universities, testing bodies and employers with remote staff.
The problem is the same whether the setting is an exam or a job: when the person is on the other side of a webcam, the organisation needs evidence that the right person did the work, honestly. Verificient provides that evidence without requiring everyone to be in the same room.

What Verificient Technologies Does
Remote learning and remote work both raise the same question: is the person on the other end of the screen who they claim to be? Verificient answers it with multi-factor biometric authentication when a session starts and continuous facial recognition throughout. Computer vision checks policy compliance automatically at scale, and machine learning improves the detection algorithms over time. Reviews can be handled by software, by people or by both, so institutions can balance cost against how closely a session is watched. The same identity and monitoring approach runs through exams, pre-employment assessments and remote workforce management.
Products
Proctortrack
Proctortrack is the identity verification and automated remote proctoring platform for higher education and testing bodies. Before an exam starts, a secure browser locks down the testing environment to prevent AI-assisted cheating, and the test taker completes a room and desktop scan with a live ID check. During the exam it records the screen, applies OS-level protection that detects virtual machines and stealth apps, and raises real-time alerts. Institutions can choose:
- AI-driven proctoring with automated alerts
- live human proctoring at one proctor to four students
- a hybrid mode at one proctor to 25 students
A mobile app for iOS and Android can act as a secondary camera.
Veripass
Veripass creates a baseline profile for each test taker from face and ID scans, including a globally available identity check that protects against forged documents. Data collected during real exams is then compared with that baseline to authenticate the person. It works with Proctortrack or on its own, for organisations that only need identity assurance.
ProctorDIY And ProctorTA
ProctorDIY is a do-it-yourself live proctoring platform for instructors and teaching assistants who want to supervise their own exams. It combines webcam identity checks and facial ID confirmation with a secure browser lockdown, and AI-enhanced auto proctoring that alerts the instructor to suspicious behaviour, at ratios from one to one up to one to 25. ProctorTA is an in-classroom browser lock that turns student laptops into secure testing terminals, for on-campus exams where students bring their own devices.
RemoteDesk
RemoteDesk continuously secures the identities of remote work-at-home agents, so employers know the person handling their work is the one they hired. It is aimed at call centres and remote legal staffing companies.
How It Works
A session starts with the identity check: face and ID scans are taken and Veripass keeps them as a baseline profile in secure storage. Monitoring then runs for the whole session through continuous facial recognition, webcam or two-camera mobile monitoring, screen recording and room scans. Afterwards the session is reviewed by AI, by live human proctors, or by both in hybrid mode. Proctortrack and ProctorDIY connect to learning management systems through LTI, so students launch exams from the course page they already use.
