WALLIX is a French cybersecurity software company that secures access to IT and industrial (OT) systems. Its core is privileged access management: controlling the accounts that can change critical infrastructure, recording what those users do and protecting the credentials they use.
Its customers are organisations that need to keep administrators, external providers and automated accounts under control, often in regulated sectors and in industry, where plant equipment needs remote maintenance but cannot accept agents or frequent change.

What WALLIX Does
Privileged accounts are the ones attackers want most, and in many organisations they are shared, poorly tracked and used by outside contractors as well as staff. WALLIX puts a control point in front of those accounts so that every privileged session is authorised, monitored and tied to a person, and so that the passwords and keys behind them stay in a vault rather than in scripts or spreadsheets.
The same control point covers operational technology as well as IT, so a plant engineer and a cloud administrator go through the same checks. Customers can run it themselves or take it as a service.
Products
WALLIX PAM
WALLIX PAM secures and monitors privileged access to critical infrastructure. Administrators connect through it rather than directly to servers, databases or OT equipment, and it brokers the session using credentials it holds itself. Its main modules are:
- Session management, with monitoring of privileged sessions
- Password management for privileged accounts
- A vault for the secrets of both human and non-human users
- Asset discovery
Privileged Remote Access And Web Session Manager
Privileged Remote Access gives outside providers and remote administrators controlled access to internal systems, which matters for organisations that depend on maintenance contractors. Web Session Manager extends the same controls to browser-based administration consoles, so sessions on web applications are secured like any other privileged connection.
Enterprise Vault And Sovereign Identity Access
For the wider workforce, Enterprise Vault centralises and encrypts sensitive identity data so it can be shared securely between users. Sovereign Identity Access, also offered as WALLIX IDaaS, provides single sign-on and multi-factor authentication for employees.
WALLIX IAG
WALLIX IAG handles access reviews and entitlement control. It maps identities to the permissions they hold across applications and runs certification campaigns, helping compliance teams show auditors who has access to what and why.
WALLIX ONE
WALLIX ONE is the on-demand platform that brings these services together as SaaS, with the WALLIX ONE Console as the single management interface and WALLIX ONE PAM Core as its privileged access component.
How It Works
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Agentless PAM | WALLIX PAM needs no agents on target systems. It can be deployed on-premises, in a private or public cloud, in a hybrid setup or cloud native. |
| Hosting options | Customers either host the software themselves or use the SaaS version operated by WALLIX. Supported public clouds include AWS, Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud and Outscale. |
| Authentication | Users can sign in with username and password, Kerberos, LDAP, NLA, Web SSO, RADIUS, PKI or SAML. |
| Monitoring and connected tools | Session events can be sent to a SIEM, through SNMP or by email, and WALLIX PAM connects to ITSM ticketing and workflow systems and to IGA tools. |
