Watchdata Technologies builds the secure chips, operating systems and back-end platforms that sit inside SIM and eSIM cards, payment and transport cards, identity cards, PKI tokens and digital car keys.
Its customers are mobile operators, IoT service providers, banks, transit authorities, governments and car makers that need a tamper-resistant place to hold credentials and keys, and its products are used in more than 70 countries and regions.

What Watchdata Technologies Does
Whenever a phone joins a mobile network, a card pays for a train ride or an official signs a document with a token, a secret key has to be stored somewhere an attacker cannot read it. Watchdata supplies that somewhere: security chips running its own operating systems, packaged as SIMs, cards, tokens or car keys, with the cryptography to prove who or what is connecting. Because the same chip and operating system design sits under every form factor, an operator, bank or government can buy the device and the back-end software that manages it from one supplier, rather than stitching together hardware and key handling from different vendors.
Products
Connectivity
Connectivity products serve mobile operators and IoT service providers who need subscriber identity in phones, modules and devices.
| Communication SIM Card | 2FF, 3FF and 4FF packages for 2G to 5G terminals |
|---|---|
| IoT M2M | Embedded module forms compliant with ETSI and ISO standards |
| One-Stop eSIM | ESIM product and service for IoT providers, including an SGP32-based IoT eSIM |
| IoT Connection Desk | An operations tool for IoT service providers |
Payment And Identity Cards
Cards cover the main places a person proves identity or pays. ID Cards hold credentials on a chip for identity checks and access control, and Business Application Cards serve government, utilities, enterprises and campuses. Financial payment cards and transport cards include the secure chips used in the Paris Navigo system with Calypso certified security, while ETC System and Quipass handle electronic and satellite-based road tolls.
WatchKEY Token
WatchKEY is a USB token with a secure chip and PKI, built for banks and e-government services that need strong signing and authentication for their users.
Digital Car Key And Vehicle Terminals
Digital car keys come from an IATF16949-certified production base for car makers replacing physical keys. A wireless power charge vehicle terminal combines WPC with NFC and supports Qi2.0.
Digital Infrastructures
| TGoMOS | An open multi-application operating system for security chips that adapts to different MCUs and CPU cores |
|---|---|
| TSM | Application management and secure element management |
| TERMINAL-Connected Security Solution | End to end protection for customers’ mobile apps |
| Key Management System | A proprietary platform that manages the whole lifecycle of keys |
How It Works
Every product starts with a security chip running a Watchdata operating system, either the TimeCOS smart card OS or TGoMOS. Connectivity products support encryption algorithms such as A3, A8 and domestic Chinese encryption. On phones, a TEE-based mobile security solution with GP TEE security evaluation certification extends the same model to the handset. Behind the devices sit the back-end platforms: the TSM installs applications onto secure elements over the air, and the Key Management System supplies the keys those elements use. Card readers and terminals come in contact, dual interface, QR code scanning and Bluetooth models.
