What XignSys Does
Under Germany’s Online Access Act (OZG), administrations must let people complete official business online, and each portal needs a trustworthy way to know who is on the other end. Building separate connections to every state identity service is slow and costly. XignSys takes the integration burden off each portal: one broker routes every authentication request to the right identity provider and hands back a validated result, and sign-in itself moves from passwords to the user’s smartphone. Professional services for secure cloud and app development support customers building on it.
Products
ID-Broker
Portal operators use the ID-Broker as their OZG connection service. It connects their applications to BundID, ELSTER, the EUDI wallet and other identity providers through one standard interface, so each portal integrates once instead of once per provider. The broker is “eIDAS 2.0 ready” and built on open-source components such as Keycloak.
Multi-Factor Authentication
For services that need strong sign-in without passwords, XignSys offers smartphone-based, phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication rated by the BSI. The XignIn identity solution carries the same approach into smart city and business settings, and an SDK lets software makers embed BSI-certified security functions in their own libraries.
CIAM And Keycloak Services
Utilities, transport operators and cities that run many customer-facing services can give users one account across them. XignSys delivers customer identity and access management with single sign-on and role management, and supports Keycloak from architecture through to operations. Its SAIIL IAM system has been extended with PXL Vision identity verification.
Postfach-Broker
The Postfach-Broker is a standardised REST API for connecting legally valid mailbox solutions, so official documents can reach a user’s digital mailbox.
How It Works
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Hosting | Customers can choose operation as a managed service in a certified German cloud, hosted to BSI C5 criteria in an ISO 27001 compliant environment, or run it on-premises in their own infrastructure. |
| Identity platform | Applications reach the broker over OIDC or SAML. Projects such as City.Pass for Stadtwerke Münster run on a hardened Keycloak cluster. |
| Identity verification | Identity documents are checked through partner services, with optional NFC or eID reading, and registration can use a Deutsche Post address interface. |
